Talk the Talk...

The camera finds Dante S. Inferno alone in a corner booth, the light above it not shining. The darkness is slightly illuminated as he takes a drag from a cigarette. Next to him are three empty pitchers, and he doesn't even give a glance to the waitress as she brings a fresh one over. Dante takes the pitcher, and drinks straight from it, as he's seen looking over paper work.

Voice: Hey, strange way of congratulating me ya know.

Dante glances up, his eyebrows raised behind his shades, before shaking his head.

Dante: Heh, surprised you have the free time to talk to a messed up old guy like me. Though definatly congrats.

Across from Dante, Brittany James slides in to the booth, reaching up, and screwing in the light bulb that Dante had unscrewed, the sudden light making Dante shake his head a bit.

Brittany: Hey, you might like it in the dark, but if I don't let someone know you're not the only one here, I'll never get my order.

Dante: Since when do you drink?

Brittany: There are more drinks than beer you know. There's actually healthy options.

Dante: Don't start. You were on me about my drinking and smokeing back when we were tag partners.

Brittany: Yeah, how is that going nowdays? You made alot of big talk out there, and frankly I'm thrilled me and Ashley were able to do you a solid by winning.

Dante: Hey, it was your win, don't even try and make it about me. Its all you, won't belong before you're the big name around here.

Brittany: Perhaps. Kinda strange though, you taking this unknown status. But, perhaps I still was able to help you out with your cause. Me and Ashley showed the entire roster that MoV CAN be beaten. You might win this won yet, just like old times.

Dante: Heh, yeah you've cracked MoV's armor... only trouble is finding someone with the guts to step up with me and finally take the full thing off, and topple them.

Brittany: Exactly. Just don't get obsessed. You remember what happened last time. You're not a bad guy, but you always get pulled to the darkside so easily. Remember, you're trying to prove to the world you're better than them, don't let Van taunt you into being just as bad as him.

Dante: Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Congrats again, and tell Ashley I give her congrats too. Good luck to the both of ya. You two and Cathul have been doing good, it's about time I guess for me to step it up too.

Brittany: No doubt. Take care of yourself, I'll see you around.

Brittany gets up and exits the booth, as Dante reaches up, and unscrews the lightbulb, retreating back to the darkness, returning to looking over the files he has, which are seen to be statistics on the GX roster.

Dante: Lots of good guys... wonder if any one of them is free to grab for some glory...

ooc : damn it ... the match was confirmed when I was in the middle of stat reset (you can see Tao fought by himself) and BS had to put you (Dante) distracting us / helping them, but he have pretty strong alibi, so Ill just go with the consequences and improvise.
I am on 65-70% and tao is on 100% again and from the look of the last match ... so looking forward for a rematch.
And even if we lose the titles - it would be a nice turn over.
I just hope that the match was not already confirmed with my previous state
Anyway I am not here for excuses.
I thought about adding the side story in this topic/segment, but I guess it will be better to add it in the Casino section.

ooc: lol its all good man. I think mainly for those of us not in the tourney's this season, alot of the story is just something extra beyond the main thing. The way my build is going, not alot of chance of me actually being able to do much But I can at least write it up to try and be interesting lol.

ooc : Supporting that with both hands I wanted stronger opponents, but as the season was off by a week I had to do my reset earlier (earlier only fedwise) But a loss gives us more opportunities RP wise

P.S.> does BS booking the matches (I guess not) and if he is not then who is it
I'd like to know, because some things like your (dante) distraction/help was only discussed with BS and since he is off the VGMs couldnt know

For many of you that missed this season's tournaments, next season will put a smile on your faces. Actually, it'll put a smile on the 16 biggest guys' faces.

Rats, I'm only in the top 25...unless I can really kick my current training into overdrive
