Monica: My guest at this time is the GX World Heavyweight Champion, The Immortal Arkken.
The champion is wearing a finely tailored suit, obviously not meant for wrestling. The title belt is draped over his right shoulder.
Monica: First of all, after your first "title defense" on this season's first show, how do you feel about defending the title this Friday against Mason Gentry?
Arkken: I feel a lot more ready, now that I know he will not fight honourably, but will instead take every shortcut he can to take my championship away from me. It makes one wonder why the crowd cheers for that witless ignoramus. Anyhow, Emma assures me that every precaution has been taken so that neither Semag nor anyone else will be screwing me out of my title. It is in her interest even more so than it is in mine.
Monica: How would it be worse for her than for you, exactly?
Arkken: I can take back the championship any time I want. I am not the one running this company, the one who would have to deal with Gentry as its ambassador.
The thought brings a smile to his lips.
Arkken: Truth be told, it would only serve to make me look better.
Monica: You have suffered from a lasting back injury this season. Do you expect it will affect your match?
Arkken looks uncomfortable for a moment.
Arkken: When I come out to the ring with a huge bandage around my lower back, I am sure Gentry will go right for it, but I have been wrestling every week despite my injury and I will not let it get in the way.
Monica: Any thoughts on the Battlefield of Honor match that will determine the new number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship?
Arkken: Many, many thoughts. There will be many wrestlers in that match worthy of a shot at my title. Black Spirit, Semag, Dixon, Loki... they know who is going to win the championship match on Friday and they are itching to get at me. Two of those are the only other people to have won this title twice, along with 2Face. They know that I am at the top of the mountain, and they know what beating me could do for their stagnant careers. I am the man, and everyone is gunning for me. If you ask me... it feels pretty great.
The champion leaves with a smug look on his face.
Monica: Back to you, Shawn.
