(The big Screen goes black for several seconds before images of some of the most brutal hardcore matches in GX history flash on the screen. A monotone voice over starts to play as the images continue to stream over the big screen. )
Voice over: The national pain control clinical have developed eleven specific strategies in deal with pain.
1. Altered focus This is a favorite technique for demonstrating how powerfully the mind can alter sensations in the body. Focus your attention on any specific non-painful part of the body (hand, foot, etc.) and alter sensation in that part of the body. For example, imagine your hand warming up. This will take the mind away from focusing on the source of your pain, such as your back pain. 2. Dissociation As the name implies, this chronic pain technique involves mentally separating the painful body part from the rest of the body, or imagining the body and mind as separate, with the chronic pain distant from one’s mind. For example, imagine your painful lower back sitting on a chair across the room and tell it to stay sitting there, far away from your mind.
Ironically the science of psychology classifies dissociation as a state.1 It's a protective mechanism called up by the nervous system when it reaches its maximum capacity to process stimulation (both internally and externally).
3. Sensory splitting This technique involves dividing the sensation (pain, burning, pins and needles) into separate parts. For example, if the leg pain or back pain feels hot to you, focus just on the sensation of the heat and not on the hurting. 4. Mental anesthesia This involves imagining an injection of numbing anesthetic (like Novocain) into the painful area, such as imagining a numbing solution being injected into your low back. Similarly, you may then wish to imagine a soothing and cooling ice pack being placed onto the area of pain. 5. Mental analgesia Building on the mental anesthesia concept, this technique involves imagining an injection of a strong pain killer, such as morphine, into the painful area. Alternatively, you can imagine your brain producing massive amount of endorphins, the natural pain relieving substance of the body, and having them flow to the painful parts of your body. 6. Transfer Use your mind to produce altered sensations, such as heat, cold, anesthetic, in a non-painful hand, and then place the hand on the painful area. Envision transferring this pleasant, altered sensation into the painful area. 7. Age progression/regression Use your mind’s eye to project yourself forward or backward in time to when you are pain-free or experiencing much less pain. Then instruct yourself to act "as if" this image were true. 8. Symbolic imagery Envision a symbol that represents your chronic pain, such as a loud, irritating noise or a painfully bright light bulb. Gradually reduce the irritating qualities of this symbol, for example dim the light or reduce the volume of the noise, thereby reducing the pain. 9. Positive imagery Focus your attention on a pleasant place that you could imagine going - the beach, mountains, etc. - where you feel carefree, safe and relaxed. 10. Counting Silent counting is a good way to deal with painful episodes. You might count breaths, count holes in an acoustic ceiling, count floor tiles, or simply conjure up mental images and count them. 11. Pain movement Move chronic back pain from one area of your body to another, where the pain is easier to cope with. For example, mentally move your chronic back pain slowly into your hand, or even out of your hand into the air.

Voice over: According to the common-sense concept of pain, famous psychologist Dennett argues that “ pain experiences are essentially painful, awful, abhorrent, so that it is a logical impossibility to have an affectively neutral pain experience”.

Voice over: The pharmaceutical companies have developed stronger medication to numb the sensation of pain. America is at a state of epidemic of people addicted to this powerful drugs.
(The images flash so fast that you can not even make them out any longer as they blur together and all of a sudden the stop and the screen is black for several seconds before an image of Furious Steele appears on the screen. He is in his normal black sleeveless “I Hate You” t-shirt, torn blue jeans, and black army boots. His long black straggly hair is covering most of his face, but the scowl on his lips is very clear. Steele's arms are covered with thousands of scars from his years of hardcore fighting. )
Steele: Arkken, your world has tried to find ways to tolerate pain, to withstand pain, to overcome pain, to block out pain and to when people avoid pain. This is why your world is weak Arkken. They lack the strength to embrace the purest emotions that we will ever experience in our lives. Your pride and ego have prevented you from seeing the reality of your situation. Furious Steele has seen into your eyes and knows that you believe fully that you will win our match. The satisfaction that Furious Steele will experience as that expression changes to fear at Battlefield of Honor will be exhilarating. As your expression changes from confident to nervous, as the seed of doubt slowly creeps into your heart and then turns to desperation. And then there will be that moment when the reality strikes your heart that there is nothing you can do to win this match. There is no way to keep what you covet most.
(Steele looks down and starts wrapping up his fists for the upcoming war.)
Steele: You are a wolf in sheep's clothing. You have your new gimmick of respect that you have latched onto to get back in the title scene. You built up all your energy and focus during your stint of silence. You have once again pledged that you are a “new man” and back on the “right path” and have learned from your mistakes. During this match your true colors will show. Once desperation overcomes you, the old Arkkan will come out and you will show the fans that you are still the same heartless cheating bastard that you have always been. How satisfying it will be to have the fans see you exposed for the fraud you are, and at the same time it will not be enough to keep your precious title. You will be left laying in the center of the ring in a pool of your own blood. No pride left, no dignity left, no respect left, and no title left. It has been said and it shall come to pass.
(The camera slowly goes black as it pans out on Steele as he continues to tape his fists.)
